West Indies batsman Chris Gayle left the fans awe-struck after he took a magical one-handed catch on Monday in the final of the Global T20 in Canada. Gayle was playing for Vancouver Knights in the final against West Indies B and was fielding at first slip.
West Indies B’s Kavem Hodge was on the crease when leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed bowled. Hodge got a thick edge off Fawad and the ball went straight to Gayle. When the Jamaican dived to his left, the ball bounced off the palm of his left hand. He was about to fall and miss the ball. However, Gayle managed to twist his right arm and grabbed the ball with his right hand.
While the batsman was confused, the fans were left in awe. Gayle’s teammates were ecstatic on watching the magical catch.
