Two Major Changes In Indian Team Ahead Of Match Against Bangladesh
Home > News Shots > Sports newsAfter the loss against England on June 30, Indian team have made two changes for their World Cup match against Bangladesh. India have dropped Kedar Jadhav and Kuldeep Yadav for this game. Dinesh Karthik and Bhuvneshwar Kumar included in the playing XI.
The member in the team who will play against Bangladesh are; Lokesh Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli(c), Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni(w), Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah.
According to India Today reports, Virat Kohli said at the toss "It's a used pitch. In the last game, it was getting slower and slower in the second half of the innings. We think it's going to keep on deteriorating as the match progresses. Couple of changes looking at the short boundary."
"I don't need to sit down and assess how to convert those (fifties into hundreds), I have done that a lot of times in the past. I'm really enjoying the way I'm batting at the moment. It's just about contributing to the team," Kohli added.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first at Edgbaston cricket ground in Birmingham.
Bangladesh meanwhile, have also made 2 changes - Mehidy Hasan and Mahmudullah have been left out, Rubel Hossain and Sabbir Rahman come into the playing XI. India currently have 11 points from seven games and will advance to the semi-finals with a win.
