VIDEO: Football Star Jumps Into Crowd To Fight Fan After Cup Defeat
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDuring a recent football match against Norwich City, Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder Eric Dier got himself involved into some trouble. The star footballer charged towards the stands to confront a Tottenham Hotspur fan after an alleged abuse to his brother, who was also sitting in the same stand.
A video of the incident is currently going viral, where Dier can be seen jumping over advertising hoardings after Norwich eliminated Spurs on penalties. Looking at him, running towards the man, fans and security ran towards them and separate Dier from the fan he charged at after the end of the match.
In the video, Dier was caught saying “he is my brother." According to Skysports report, the 25-year-old is bound to be penalised for his actions on the field.
Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho came out in support for Dier in the post-match interview. “I don’t think that belongs to the game. The game was a fantastic representation of the FA Cup, but I cannot run away from the question. I think Eric Dier did what we as professionals cannot do but when someone insults you and your family is involved, especially your younger brother," Mourinho said.
Further explaining the situation, the manager asserted that "this person insulted Eric, the younger brother was not happy with the situation and Eric was not happy. We as professionals cannot do what he did. If the club discipline Eric Dier I would not agree with it, but what he did was wrong.”

Heard two stories:
1: Diers brother in crowd got punched by some dickhead
2: The guy racially abused Gedson Fernandes
