Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday stepped down as the captain of Delhi Daredevils following a poor start of the franchise in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. Young batsman Shreyas Iyer has been handed the captainship for the rest of the season. Gambhir has scored only 85 runs in six matches. Further, the IPL franchise is at the bottom in the points table with just one win in six matches.
