He even scored the fourth fastest century in just 57 balls; however, Afghani bowler, Rashid Khan, gave a century in just 49 balls. He gave 110 runs in just 9 overs, recorded high in World Cup. Zadran and Naib took 3 wickets each for Afghanistan.
Afghanistan faced the recorded high target and gave a stable start. Shahidi scored 76 runs off 100 balls and Afghan scored 44 off 48 balls. The team together scored 247 runs with 8 wicket loss at the end of 50 overs.
