Indian Fans Seen During England-Australia Semi-final; Shocks All: Photo Viral!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDays after team India have been out of the World Cup 2019, but the love for the players and the team still prevailed during England-Australia Semi-Final match. Sounds, Unusual! But yes that's true.
According to News18 report, Indians were the reason why the semi-final of Thursday was such a big-hit before it even came into picture. In fact, Indians once again dominated the stands as England took on Australia in the second semi-final, and constituting a majority of the crowd present in the stadium.
Meanwhile, it goes without saying that Indian fans have been the best throughout the tournament as they have dominated the stands so far in the competition. The crowd support for India was prominently seen during matches against Australia, South Africa, England, Pakistan, Bangladesh and also in the semi-finals against New Zealand.
At the beginning of the game, around 20 percent of the seats were empty at Edgbaston, which has a capacity of 25,000. However, the stadium did begin to fill up as the match progressed even as one did still see several empty seats, News18 further reported.
Media reports also state that the ICC has a resale platform and it has reportedly resold 70,000 tickets in this tournament. But the expectation of witnessing gaping, empty spaces of thousands of absentees from the match, clearly turned out to be a far-fetched assumption.
