Suryakumar Yadav Shares 'EPIC' Message on Instagram After Rohit Sharma Says ‘Should’ve Sacrificed My Wicket For Surya’ 

During the final match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) a mix-up on the field between Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav has become the talk of the town. After the horrible mix-up with Suryakumar, the Mumbai Indians captain stated that he should have sacrificed his wicket for Surya during the match. 

This statement from the captain rightly proves that he has once again showed why he is loved and respected so much by his Mumbai Indians teammates. 

Talking about the incident, it took place in the 11th over when Rohit Sharma played a Ravichandran Ashwin and set off for a quick single straightaway.

Suryakumar, who was at the non-striker end was not willing to take the tight run. Within a few seconds, Rohit ran towards him after which he (Suryakumar) eventually decided to sacrifice his wicket.

Suryakumar took the decision right away in the match after seeing his captain standing right beside him, following which he walked off in disappointment.

Post the match, Rohit Sharma stated that he should have sacrificed his wicket for his teammate. “We made sure Ishan and Surya had confidence – just have to let Ishan loose, and Surya is a more matured player. The kind of form he was in, I should have sacrificed my wicket for Surya. But throughout the tournament he has played some incredible shots,” said Rohit Sharma.

Hours after the big game and day, Suryakumar Yadav took to Instagram and shared a brilliant message for his IPL captain. Sharing an image of the run-out he wrote: “Can sacrifice my wkt for him Any day.” 

This has left fans speechless and without a doubt that there is any rift between them. Talking about Rohit Sharma's performance, after the mix-up on the field, Rohit went on to play a fine knock of 68 runs to retain their title.
