On September 10 (Tuesday), Smith consolidated his position at N0:1 with 937 points. He achieved the feat after Australia's massive 185-run victory against England in the fourth Ashes Test in Manchester.
Steve Smith's brilliant 211 and 82 runs in two innings saved him the top spot in the ICC Test rankings. With 903 points, Virat Kohli holds the 2nd position in the ICC Test rankings while Chatteshwar Pujara stands at N0: 4 in the list. Steve Smith is only 10 points short of his career-best ratings that he achieved in December 2017.
On the bowling front, Australia's Pat Cummins remains at N0: 1 position with 914 points which is 63 points ahead of South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada (2nd Place). India's Jasprit Numrah has got the 3rd place in the list with 835 points. Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood has entered the top 10 list for the first time in his career. Hazlewood has grabbed N0:8 position in the latest ICC Test rankings.
