Video: Shreyas Iyer Forgets Teammate's Name During Toss, David Warner Helps Him
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDuring the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), a hilarious incident happened right in the beginning of the game and is currently making headlines.
Both the teams played brilliant to make it to the final, but it was only DC who made a place and defeated SRH in the second qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by 17 runs in the end on Sunday. It was Marcus Stoinis, who was named the Man of the Match for his exceptional all-round display for the Capitals.
Coming back to the hilarious incident, during the toss, Mark Nicholas was the presenter, who was interviewing the skippers.
After DC won the toss, Nicholas asked Iyer about the changes in the playing XI as DC had made two changes for the much talked about game.
DC left out Prithvi Shaw and Daniel Sams for Shimron Hetmyer and Praveen Dubey.
Shreyas Iyer, who was answering the question forgot the second player's name they included in the playing XI. It was David Warner, who jumped in and informed Iyer about the changes DC made.
If you are thinking as to how Warner knows about the changes; usually both the teams exchange information with each other just before the toss. That is how Warner was able to help Shreyas Iyer while they were discussing.
Talking about the match, Marcus Stoinis worked wonders for his team as he and Shikhar Dhawan added 86 runs in less than nine overs for the opening wicket. Even Shimron Hetmyer batted well in his comeback game to help the team post 189 runs in 20 overs.
Meanwhile, SRH tried hard to make it possible but DC bowlers were exceptionally good during the match that made it impossible for them to score runs or make a boundary.
