Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, who was recently banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after investigations revealed that he had failed to report approaches from an Indian bookie, has reportedly turned to a new sport - Football.

As per NDTV reports, Shakib Al Hasan, was part of a football team named as Footy Hags. He played against the Korean Expat Team at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Dhaka. 

The team Footy Hags took to their social media account and posted on Facebook saying, "We played 11 a side on a full size pitch at the Army Stadium against the Korean Expat team today. We won 3-2. Good to have Shakib Al Hasan back in the Footy Hags Team".

Meanwhile, another member from Shakib Al Hasan's Footy Hags identified as Riyad Shahir Ahmed Husain also shared photos from the match.

Highlighting over Shakib's banned; he was given strict orders by the ICC for two years (one year suspended) for not reporting corrupt approaches from an alleged Indian bookie. His ban ends on October 29, 2020.
