Cricketer Trolls Shahid Afridi's Throwback Post, Fans In Large Numbers 'Give It Back'

Afridi proudly holds the record of the most sixes in One Day Internationals with 351, not just that he also holds the record for the fastest ODI centuries for 18 years.

It was October 4, 1996 that Afridi had smashed a 37-ball century against Sri Lanka. This special moment was flagged by cricket fans on social media where all came out to praise him.

Even, on ESPN Cricinfo's throwback post fans shared their love for the cricketer. But former England cricketer, Nick Compton did not like the idea and tried to downplay Shahid Afridi's achievement with a witty reply.

"And never scored a run thereafter," Compton replied on the post. Within minutes, Pakistan cricket fans hit back at the English cricketer and were non-stop.

One fan got furious with Compton's comment and replied saying "Hardly anybody knows you" to which many supported.

Going back to history, during that match, Shahid Afridi made 102 runs of 40 balls which included 11 sixes and six boundaries in Nairobi that resulted Pakistan to register an 82-run win over Sri Lanka.
