Watch: Batsman Tumbles Over Bowler, Face Dangerous Collision In BBL Match 

During the Big Bash League (BBL) match against Hobart Hurricanes at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne today, two cricket players suffered a 'nasty collision'. 

The unexpected moment took place during the fourth delivery of the fourth over when Sam Harper smashed a ball from Nathan Ellis straight at mid-off and rushed for a quick single. 

When the fielder collected the ball, he quickly threw the ball at the non-striker's end, which created a panic on the field. In that desperate moment of reaching the crease, Sam Harper tumbled over the bowler. 

In the video which is currently going viral, Harper can be seen flying over the top of Ellis causing him significant trouble and falling on his neck. Harper, could not move after that and was immediately given medical attention. 

Soon after the collision, the match stopped and the 23-year old player was given immediate medical care. The video of the incident was shared on BBL official Twitter handle which captioned it saying, "Nasty collision in the middle between Sam Harper and Nathan Ellis. Play has stopped while the docs take a look at Harper #BBL09".
