Rajasthan Royals kept their hopes alive in the tournament as they defeated Chennai Super Kings by 4 wickets on Friday.

 

 

After winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings opted to bat first. CSK lost their man in form, Ambati Rayudu - 12 (9) early. Opening batsman Shane Watson - 39 (31) and Suresh Raina - 52 (35) stiched up an important partnership in the middle to rescue CSK. Sam Billings - 27 (21) and the captain MS Dhoni - 33* (23) managed to get the team to a decent score of 176/4 from their 20 overs. RR bowler Jofra Archer picked up two wickets in the innings.

 

 

Chasing the target, Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Butlter got off to flying start as they scored 57 runs inside the powerplay. CSK bowlers kept it tight to pull things back in the middle overs. Jos Buttler - 95* (60) kept his cool and batted through the innings to take his team over the line in the final over of the match.
