This time too he made headlines, after taking a shot at his Mumbai teammate Shardul Thakur, who was celebrating his 28th birthday yesterday.
Rohit Sharma, who took to Twitter and wished him also made sure to remind Shardul of an embarrassing jersey moment that took place in 2017. Going back to history, Shardul was criticized for wearing a jersey numbered 10 on his ODI debut in Sri Lanka. As fans reminded him of legendary Sachin Tendulkar's jersey number.
Rohit captioned the photo saying, "Many happy returns of the day buddy. Only the second player to wear the jersey. It takes guts to don that number but clearly you’re the best example of Impossible Is Nothing @imShard."
Rohit is currently playing the ongoing three-match Tests series against South Africa. While, Shardul is playing for Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy.
