All Round Rashid Khan Finishes in Dhoni Style
Home > News Shots > Sports newsThe Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first.
They didn't have the ideal start losing Jos Buttler to Rashid Khan in the fourth over after a very slow start. But from there on, Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson combined for a big 119 runs partnership. Rahane who got 70 from 49 balls fell in the 16 over to Nadeem, but Samson and Ben Stokes finished the innings well with Samson going on to get a magnificent 102 off just 55 balls taking the Royals to a total of 198 in the 20 overs.
In return, the Sunrisers Hyderabad had the perfect start with Warner taking on the bowling straight away. They got off to a flyer getting 69 in the powerplay with Warner getting 52 of those runs. Jonny Bairstow joined in as well and they got to 115 in 10 overs when David Warner fell for 69 to stokes. Bairstow fell soon after, and there was a small collapse in the middle with Unadkat and Gopal picking up 3 wickets in 2 overs, but Shankar's quick cameo of 35 from 15 balls and Rashid Khan's brilliance with the bat as well towards the end, took the Sunrisers across the line with one over to spare.
Sanju Samson's elegant 102, unfortunately, was not good enough for the Royals on the day with Warner and Rashid Khan stealing the show.
