RR Shares 'A Royal' Post For Ravindra Jadeja After KKR Lost to CSK; Fans Can't Keep CALM!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDuring the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Ravindra Jadeja was on top of his game. Despite CSK being eliminated from the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), they haven’t been down on spirit or pride.
Especially Jadeja, was on point in giving his team their fifth win this season at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Like other teams in the IPL 2020, CSK, too found themselves in trouble but a little more than the others.
While chasing 173 against KKR, the Yellow Army were walking towards victory when Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu were blazing guns. But after a time when both got out, CSK needed 27 runs to get over the finishing line.
Then came Jadeja, who laid into Lockie Ferguson, conceded two fours, a six and a waist-high full toss that got two runs apart from being a no-ball. In the nail-biting match during the last over, CSK needed 10 runs to win, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti gave away only three runs off the first four balls.
However, Jadeja smashed a six to bring the target down to a single off the final ball of the contest. After putting fans at the edge of their seat, Jadeja finished the match in a grand way, smashing a six over the same region.
With this victory KKR’s fate isn’t in their own hands anymore as they are now placed at the fifth spot in the points table. Amid all the excitement and cheer, Rajasthan Royals (RR) thanked Jadeja for defeating KKR and playing the match-winning hand.
The Royals then took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, “Once a Royal, always a Royal.” The post meant to say that Jadeja made his IPL debut for RR after he was taken following India’s win in the 2008 U19 World Cup.
During that time, it was the same World Cup where Virat Kohli was the captain. Jadeja then moved to the Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
Only in the 2012 IPL player auction, CSK brought him for INR 9.72 crores after a tie-breaker with another defunct team Deccan Chargers. Since then, Jadeja has been an integral part of the team.
So with KKR’s loss, the Royals are still in the race with a chance of making the IPL 2020 playoffs possible. Meanwhile, Check out the tweet below:
