The Kings XI Punjab on Monday named spinner R Ashwin as the captain of the franchise for the upcoming Indian Premier League season. Reacting to the development, Ashwin called it a “proud moment” and said, “I feel honoured to be trusted with the responsibility of leading such a talented bunch of cricketers.” The Tamil Nadu cricketer further added that he had no additional pressure as “I first led my state side in first class cricket when I was 21. I have done it in the past and I am sure that I will enjoy the challenge.”
