Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir have always been open about the admiration they have for each other. Kohli has once revealed that Amir is one of the toughest bowlers he has played against.
While Amir too has called Kohli 'the best', he recently revealed the toughest batsman he has played against and surprisingly it is not the Indian captain. In a rapid-fire interview with ESPN, Amir revealed that the toughest batsman he has played against, is in fact, the now-banned Australian cricketer, Steve Smith.
Smith is now banned for a year for his involvement in a ball-tampering scandal during a test series against South Africa. However, his feat in Test cricket remains undefeated. Smith has scored 6,199 runs in just 64 tests at an average of 61.38 runs.
