Suffering from Huge Loss, Team New Zealand's Coach Comes Out with Big Demand

After the unbearable and unexpected loss at the World Cup 2019, New Zealand coach Gary Stead asked for the ICC World Cup rules to be reviewed. He termed the defeat as "very, very hollow" experience in the showpiece' final.

The two teams gave their best throughout the match as well as in the Super Over, that finally decided England's fate by winning the cup for the very first time.

Meanwhile, while speaking to reporters Gary Stead said "It's a very, very hollow feeling that you can play 100 overs and score the same amount of runs and still lose the game, but that's the technicalities of sport. There's going to be many things they look at over the whole tournament -- I'm sure when they were writing the rules they never expected a World Cup final to happen like that.

Further explaining about Sunday's thrilling match over England been mistakenly handed an extra run after a throw that hit Ben Stokes' and went for a boundary in the final over, Stead asserted that, "I didn't actually know that. But at the end of the day the umpires are there to rule. They're human as well, like players, and sometimes there's a mistake but that's just the human aspect of sport."

Soon following the match, the New Zealand captain Kane Williamson and team have been widely praised for the grace with which they accepted the defeat.
