New Zealand’s women’s team blasted the highest score in any one-day international during the match against Ireland in Dublin on Friday. The Kiwis amassed a staggering 490 runs losing four wickets and defeated inexperienced Ireland by a whopping 346 runs.

New Zealand captain Suzie Bates smashed 151 off 94 balls, while Madeline made a century as well and scored 121 off 105 balls. Amelia Kerr contributed 81 off 71 balls. Ireland’s Teenage leg-spinner Cara Murray set another unwanted record by conceding 119 runs in 10 overs.

New Zealand broke their own record women’s ODI total of 455 for five, 21 years ago, against Pakistan at Christchurch in 1997. Notably, England scored the highest total in any men’s one-day international when it smashed 444 runs for three against Pakistan at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, in 2016.
