The International Cricket Council has added four new teams to the already existing list of 12 countries for One-Day International team rankings. The Council included Nepal, Netherlands, Scotland and the UAE in the rankings. ICC said that all the bilateral matches involving these four teams will be taken into account while calculating the rating points.
The Netherlands has entered the table by winning the ICC World Cricket League Championship last year. Scotland, Nepal and the UAE finished as the three leading associates (along with the Dutch) in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018 and hence earned ODI status.
Scotland has been ranked in 13th place, while the UAE follows in 14th position. The Netherlands and Nepal will reflect on the ODI team rankings table after both have played four more ODIs, ICC said.
