India wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni has revealed that the secret of his fitness is a strict diet plan. The 36-year-old cricketer is still at his best in terms of fitness and those who watched him running between wickets would have known that well. The ace finisher also added that rowing machine helped him a lot in staying fit.
Speaking at an awards function on Monday, the former India skipper stated that his food habits kept changing from time to time since he made his debut. “Then, it used to be butter chicken, naan, milkshakes, a lot of chocolates and soft drinks. But once I touched 28, the chocolates and milkshakes were off, and after a few years, soft drinks were off too,” he said.
Dhoni added that he takes in only healthy ingredients and kebabs after his retirement from Test cricket in 2015. He further revealed that he had a rowing machine in Chennai during IPL 11 and used to do rowing.
