Video: Batsman Gets Run Out For A Diamond Duck In The Most Funny Way!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsThe on-going Big Bash League (BBL) currently became the talk of the town after a match between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers stole the limelight. Batsman Matt Short took to headlines after he was run out in the most bizarre and funny manner.
The funniest run-out was caught on camera after Matt Short was run out for a diamond duck. This incident took place in the 14th over when Lloyd Pope took to bowl.
As soon as, Jonathan Wells who was on strike hit the ball through the mid-wicket region and signaled his teammate for a quick single. During that time, there was a lot of hesitation on the field as the fielder ran in full speed and collected the ball which slipped from his hands; looking at this the batsman decided to make a run.
But it looked like the batsmen were not in sync, Wells, who had urged Short to go for the run later changed his mind and decided not to take a run. Unfortunately, batsman Short was a long way out of his crease and failed to make his ground.
After all the confusion on the field, the matter was handed over to the third umpire who declared the batsman out for a diamond duck. This video was posted by Big Bash League on their official Twitter handle.
