The third ODI is scheduled on August 14 (Today) at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Interestingly, the top three Indian players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav have three big records at stake in their respective careers.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are at the verge of completing 1000 runs partnership against West Indies. The Skipper and the Vice-Captain just need 27 runs to achieve the feat which will be the highest world record against the Carribean team. Rohit Sharma needs 26 runs for himself to become the seventh-highest run-scorer in ODIs for India.
Former Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh holds the record with 8,701 runs and Rohit has 8,676 runs to his credit. In the same match Indian spinner Kuldeep also has a good scope to become the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets in ODI cricket for India. Earlier, Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami took 100 wickets in 56 matches while Kuldeep will be playing his 54th match today with 96 wickets to his ODI career already.
The good phase of Indian Cricket cannot be bigger than Indian players performing in the overseas with full potential. Virat Kohli’s commanding 120 runs that yielded to some great records in the second ODI was lauded by cricket enthusiasts around the world and Indian fans.
