After it was announced that Chennai will not be hosting any IPL matches, many cricketers took to Twitter to express their feelings and views on the issue. Recently, English cricketer Kevin Pietersen took to his official Twitter handle and commented on the issue. He said, "Having commentated on Chennai’s return to the IPL a few days ago & now hearing all the games have moved to Pune, I’m extremely sad for those passionate and quite wonderful supporters of the CSK franchise."
CSK player Murali Vijay also expressed his feelings and tweeted, "You may take the game out of Chennai, but you can’t take away the passion out of Chennaities 🤙🏽 Feeling helpless for the thousands of @ChennaiIPL fans. Hopefully, the future endeavours will be dealt in a meaningful manner✌🏽#gutted."
CSK matches will be held in Pune following heavy protests in Chennai condemning the Centre for not constituting the Cauvery Management Board.
