VIDEO: Jaydev Unadkat Takes Akash Deep's Wicket In Bizarre Way During Ranji Trophy Final
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDuring the ongoing 86th season of the Ranji Trophy, the match between Saurashtra and Bengal in Rajkot experienced nail-biting moments to bizarre captures. The news which took to headlines was when, Saurashtra lifted the Ranji Trophy for the first time in history.
During the match, Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat's reflex action on the field registered him Bengal’s Anustup Majumdar (63) wicket after he was found standing in front of the stumps. His good luck did not end there, Unadkat also took Bengal seamer Akash Deep’s wicket in the most bizarre way.
Standing outside the crease, Akash Deep left an Unadkat delivery outside the off-stump. In the video, which has become the talk of the town shows; Unadkat collecting the ball and throwing it back to the stumps. Excited, Unadkat found Akash Deep short of his crease that ended up taking his wicket.
It was a good day for Unadkat, as he also dismissed Ishan Porel (1) that got them winning the tournament easily.
