Though the first semi-final between India and New Zealand did not go well for India and fans around the nation, the match had so many highlights for Indian fans to cherish. One of them was Ravindra Jadeja's stellar performance on the field, with bat and ball. After showcasing his brilliant fielding effort by taking a phenomenal catch near the boundary line, he also picked a wicket conceding just 34 runs.

Jadeja came into the field while India was literally limping with six down and smashed 77 runs off 45 deliveries. His score includes 4 boundaries and 4 sixes. It is a known fact that Sanjay Manjrekar and Ravindra Jadeja had picked each other on twitter relating to the performance as a cricketer.

After scoring his half-century in yesterday’s match, Jadeja celebrated his innings by waving at the commentary box looking for Sanjay Manjrekar who called him a “Bits and Pieces” player. Later in the post-match analysis, Sanjay Manjrekar confessed that he had gone for lunch when Jadeja was looking for him.

“By bits and Pieces of sheer brilliance, Jadeja ripped me apart on all fronts,” said Sanjay Manjrekar accepting Jadeja as the star of the yesterday’s match. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja replied to Sanjay Manjrekar’s comment on twitter saying that he had played more games than him and he has heard enough of his verbal diarrhoea.

We would have to wait and see how the Rajput boy would receive this positive appreciation of Sanjay Manjrekar just in case if both of them happen to share some lighter moments anytime soon.
