Home > News Shots > Sports newsChennai Super Kings’ pacer Deepak Chahar had previously tested positive for the new novel coronavirus infection. The player had to test negative twice before joining the team and beginning his practice. The tests were given on Tuesday and his results have also arrived.
Chahar has tested double negative for the virus on Wednesday and is now returning to the team bubble in the UAE. The IPL is beginning in less than 10 days and hence the cricketer is now all set to join the others at the hotel. CEO KS Visawanathan told PTI, “Deepak Chahar has returned two negative tests for Covid 19 and is back in team bubble.”
“Now as per BCCI protocol he will undergo a cardio vascular test which will be an indicator of his recovery. After that he will have another Covid test and if he is negative he can join the training.”
His Cardio vascular test results are now awaited to track his fitness. When asked about how much longer it will take for Chahar to comeback to practice, Viswanathan said, “It depends on his recovery. I can’t put a timeline but another four days minimum. But it’s not confirmed.”
Deepak Chahar has however, completed 14 days of isolation in a separate hotel.
