Chennai Super Kings defeated table-toppers Sunrises Hyderabad by 8 wickets in Pune on Sunday.

Sent into bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled to kick-start their innings just scoring 29 runs for the loss of one wicket as CSK bowlers kept it tight during the powerplay. Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan - 70 (49) and the SRH captain Kane Williamson - 51 (39) steadied the innings with a brilliant 123 run partnership in the middle. With some good depth bowling from CSK, they managed to restrict SRH to a decent score of 179/4 from their 20 over. CSK bowler Shardul Thakur picked up two wickets in the innings.

Chasing the target, CSK got off to a flying start as openers Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu dismantled the SRH bowling. Rayudu batted through the innings scoring a brilliant century. Rayudu and Dhoni finished the innings in style with six balls to spare.
