The race to the playoffs has been one of the most competitive ever in the history of the IPL. So far in the 13th season of IPL, Mumbai Indians have placed themselves on top with 18 points, then comes Delhi Capitals with 16 points.
As per the IPL playoff rules, in Qualifier 1, the top two teams will face each other. So, MI and DC will play against each other in Qualifier 1 on Thursday, November 5. The winner of the match will go straight through to the final, while the loser will not be knocked out.

Mumbai Indians, who fumbled at the start of the tournament are currently at the top position.
Delhi Capitals led by Shreyas Iyer has grabbed everybody’s attention this IPL season. After the terrific Super Over win against KXIP (on September 20), DC jumped from strength to strength. With head coach Ricky Ponting, DC has now targeted history – a bid to lay their hands on the IPL silverware.
For Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), it has been a surprise for fans. As their bowling team has come out well, Virat Kohli & Co. have made quite a statement especially after finishing at the bottom of the table last year. Despite being defeated by Delhi Capitals in their league fixture, RCB qualified for the Playoffs as they are on a higher NRR than Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Coming to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): They have been steady in their performance on the field. In the recent match against MI, David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha struck unbeaten fifties and sealed themselves in the last playoffs berth after a crushing 10-wicket victory.
Currently, fans are waiting to watch the Eliminator in Abu Dhabi on November 6 (Friday) when Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
