Kolkata is gearing up to host the auction for the next edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) on December 19. With Mike Hesson been appointed as the new Director of Cricket Operations and Simon Katich as Head Coach, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will rope in some fresh talents for this season. That way, here are the three players the franchise might show interest up on.

IPL 2020: 3 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore Could Target at Auction!

Pat Cummins

Since the departure of Mitchell Starc, RCB lacks a fast bowler in the team. Cummins is one of the best bowlers in world cricket in recent times and his ability to trouble any batting line up with his serious pace and bounce definitely fits in the likes of Virat Kohli.

Chris Lynn

In a surprising move, Kolkata Knight Riders released Chris Lynn ahead of the auction. Lynn has 1280 runs to his name from 41 matches at a strike rate of 140.65. Since the departure of Chris Gayle, RCB is lacking an explosive opening batsman and Lynn might be the answer to their problem.

Evin Lewis

Evin Lewis who was released by the defending champions Mumbai Indians can play the opener for RCB if the franchise misses out on Chris Lynn.

Players released by RCB include Caribbean power hitter Shimron Hetmyer, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, Kiwi all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme, paceman Tim Southee, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Akshdeep Nath, Himmat Singh, Prayas Ray Barman, Kulwant Khejroliya, Milind Kumar and Heinrich Klaasen.
