Various media reports state that Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta and, lead coach and mentor Virender Sehwag entered into a spat over the way some of the recent matches turned out to be for the franchise.

The verbal duel is said to have happened on Tuesday after the team lost to Rajasthan Royals, according to a Mumbai Mirror report.

Post the match, Preity is said to have confronted Sehwag regarding the tactics used in the game. She was, in particular, said to be livid over Kings XI captain Ashwin being promoted up the order at no. 3 ahead of accomplished batsmen like Karun Nair and Manoj Tiwari.

Unfortunately, the move misfired with Ashwin scoring a duck and Kings XI eventually losing the match.

Preity is said to have launched an attack on Sehwag regarding messing up the playing XI while Sehwag is equally angry at Preity saying that he doesn't speak of her acting chops.

It has even been rumoured that since the spat was quite ugly, Sehwag might even end his five-year association with the franchise despite Kings XI most likely to make it to the play-offs.
