With Steve Smith stepping down as Australian captain in the ongoing series against South Africa after charges of ball tampering surfaced and were admitted to, there are doubts looming large if the batsman will continue to captain Rajasthan Royals in the 11th edition of the IPL as announced before. Reports suggest that Rajasthan Royals might sack Smith as captain though there has been no official word as yet. Notably, IPL is set to begin on April 7 with defending champion Mumbai Indians taking on returning CSK.
