India wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Tuesday surpassed Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal by registering the maximum number of stumpings in Twenty20 Internationals. During the T20I against England at Old Trafford in Manchester, Dhoni stumped Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root.

The former captain now leads the table with 33 stumpings in 91 matches, followed by Akmal with 32 stumpings. Afghanistan's Mohammad Shahzad (28 stumpings), Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim (26) and Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara stand at third, fourth and fifth spots respectively.

In ODIs too, Dhoni dominates the stumping records by inflicting 107 stumpings in his 318 matches. Sangakkara follows Dhoni with 99 stumpings. The World Cup-winning captain also keeps the record for most catches as a wicket-keeper in T20Is.
