Indian cricketer announces retirement from all forms of cricket!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsFormer Indian all rounder Dinesh Mongia, best remembered for being picked over VVS Laxman in the ICC World Cup 2003 squad, has announced retirement form all forms of cricket.
Punjabi-born Mongia debuted for the state in the year 1995-1996. He is a left-hand batsman and a left-arm spinner. He also performed well in English county cricket.
He performed well initially having scored his best 308 not out and 27 centuries and 28 half centuries. He was picke for the 2003 World Cup squad, however, his poor performance didn't gain him further chances.
He was made a state selector by the Punjab Cricket Association. He is reportedly looking forward to taking up coaching, reports Crictracker.
