"I made many mistakes when ..." Virat Kohli opens up

Speaking about World Cup loss, he said "I have learnt most in my life from failures and setbacks. The worst setbacks have not only motivated me but also improved me as a person." He continued to say troubled times are what makes one think and build a roadmap and shows the true colours of people.

He also said that it is difficult to take it when it is not mistakes but being outplayed that knocked them out. He also said that the young cricketers are much better than what they were when they were of their age and that IPL has helped these cricketers a lot.

"I made many mistakes when I was growing up. I got distracted and wasn't focused initially. Then I pulled my way back. I am grateful for where I am. The only thing that should stay with you is hard work," he said speaking about his initial days.

He also said that there is no scolding culture in the dressing room now and he acts the same with all the players. He also said that he believes in empowering people and that when the credit is taken away, one adds more pressure so he gives credits accordingly.
