Shahzad had consulted with doctors and physios on a regular basis as the team bid to retain his presence in the squad. However, he has since declared he is fit and available to play.
According to Tolo News, Shahzad took on the board in an emotional address upon his return home to Kabul, accusing the ACB of “favouritism”.
“I did not take anyone’s side, therefore, I was removed from the team. I was not informed. I was doing my training. I have not slept for two or three nights. I had two to three hours training and I was informed about the decision from the news," he said.
