A few weeks after pulling out of his contract with Chennai Super Kings due to personal reasons, Harbhajan Singh has revealed that he will stay connected with the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League 2020.

Harbhajan Singh strikes a Deal with 'Star Sports' for IPL2020 - Here is What he is Going to Do!

A report published by InsideSport claims that the former Indian spinner has now signed up officially with Star India, the broadcaster. He will be part of the Hindi Commentary team for Star Sports. However, the channel is yet to announce the same officially. By way of substantiating this news, the cricketer teased the fans via a cryptic tweet. It evidently shows his upcoming endeavour.

“Cricket aaj kal kaafi news mein hai, aur abhi abhi mujhe aisa kuch pata chala hai that will change the way you look at cricket forever! #CricketKaKhulasa,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.

Hence Harbhajan Singh along with the other Commentary team members will be based out of Mumbai for the first half of the Indian Premier League 2020. Similar to the bio-bubble that the BCCI has mandated the IPL team members to maintain a bio-bubble, Star India has mandated one for the crew in Mumbai.

“We are already working in the Bio-Bubble. The bio bubble in Mumbai will include all the people including technical, broadcasting, content, etc., being put up in a secured environment. Everyone will undergo several COVID tests, moments will be restricted and controlled to decrease the chance of contracting and transmitting infection. Anyone who joins the Bio-Bubble will first be placed in a quarantine facility. They will then be brought into the place of action, i.e., Star India’s headquarters in Lower Parel,” stated a source from the Channel.
