Glenn Maxwell’s Fiancée Vini Raman HITS OUT At Troll After Being Asked To Leave Him; Post Viral!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsAustralia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who is currently playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), had announced his engagement to Australia-based Indian pharmacist Vini Raman in February 2020. Ever since they got engaged, a lot of colour-based comments have gone viral given the low mentality of the common crowd.
Recently, Vini Raman, fiancee of Maxwell, gave a befitting reply to a troll who came up with a racist comment on her latest Instagram post. She posted an old picture of herself and Maxwell and wrote: “Spending another weekend in lockdown but wishing I was in the UAE. 4 weeks down, ? to go 💕”
Maxwell is currently in UAE for the ongoing IPL 2020. He has been plying his trade for Kings XI Punjab. While, Vini Raman, she is an Indian-origin girl based in Melbourne.
Coming back to the post, while most of the comments were positive, one fan decided to come up with a racist comment. The troll was a dig at Glenn Maxwell’s decision to take a break from the game last year due to mental issues. The fan wrote; “Ditch the mentally troubled white boy @vini raman .. You don’t need to feel sorry for the poor dude.. Get an Indian guy you sell out.”
Vini Raman, who decided to give it back posted a screenshot of the same on her Instagram story with a reply saying, “Clearly fishing for a reaction so I’ll give it to you. Unlike you I don’t see colour, I can love someone regardless of their nationality or ethnicity and that is completely my choice. I don’t have to base my life decisions on the opinion of a faceless random on the Internet and I surely don’t have to justify it. If you don’t like what you see keep scrolling champ.”
Later, Maxwell also posted the screenshot on his story too, writing: “Proud of you @vini.raman. Some people are genuinely pathetic.”
Maxwell and Vini have been dating for quite some time now, their photo as a couple first emerged on social media in 2017.
