SRHvDD: DD loses against mighty SRH despite Rishabh Pant’s heroics

Points table topper Sunrisers Hyderabad registered another emphatic victory in the 42nd Indian Premier League match against Delhi Daredevils on Thursday. Even though Delhi’s  Rishabh Pant played an aggressive innings to score his first IPL century, SRH’s opener Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Kane Williamson ensured their win with an excellent partnership.

Delhi Daredevils scored 187 runs losing five wickets at the end of 20 overs. Pant smashed 128 runs off just 63 balls. Chasing the intimidating target, Hyderabad lost opener Hales rather sooner. However, Dhawan and Williamson forged a strong partnership of 173 runs off 102 balls. SRH reached the target with a loss of just one wicket in 18.5 overs. Dhawan hit 92 runs off 50 balls, while Williamson scored 80 runs off 53 balls.
