Two days have passed since the spirited finals of the Indian Premier League came to an end, but the excitement is yet to go away. The match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad turned out in favour of the former. It marked the franchise's entry into the league after two years of getting banned.

 

Reportedly, CSK was awarded a cheque worth Rs 20 crore. The prize money will be split in half, where 10 crore goes to the franchise and the other 10 crore is split equally between the players. Runners-up SRH was awarded Rs 12.5 crore.

 

Other prizes were also handed out during the post-match presentation. Sunil Narine received Rs 10 lakh for the Most Valuable Player Award and a TATA Nexon Car for the Super Striker Award. Rishab Pant was awarded the Emerging Player Award and Stylish Player of the Season Award and received a total of Rs 20 lakh. Dhoni received Rs 10 lakh for the Innovative Thinking Award. Andrew Tye and Kane Williamson received Rs 10 lakh each for winning the purple cap and orange cap respectively.
