Video: Dwayne Bravo Shares 'Emotional Message' For Fans As He Bids Adieu to IPL 2020; Twitter Reacts!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsHours after being ruled out of the IPL with a groin injury, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo shares a special message for fans.
He had picked up the injury during CSK’s game against Delhi Capitals (DC) on October 17.
Currently, this big pullout has come as a massive blow to the already struggling CSK which has very less chances of advancing to the play-offs.
Talking about Bravo's injury, he bowled three overs in the match against the Capitals, but wasn’t available to bowl his fourth as he was in pain. That pain turned out to be a big blow for CSK as Ravindra Jadeja failed to defend 16 runs in the final over with Axar Patel smacking him for three sixes.
Before leaving UAE, Bravo reminded the fans of CSK’s excellent record of winning three IPLs in the past.
“It’s sad news, it’s sad to be leaving my team CSK. To all our CSK fans, I want you all to keep encouraging the team, keep supporting, all the true die-hard CSK fans. This wasn’t a season we expected or our fans wanted, but we gave it our best. Sometimes, despite giving our best, the results don’t show," Bravo said in a video message that has been uploaded by the franchise on its Twitter handle.
“Keep supporting us and I can guarantee you we’re going to come back stronger and better like champions. One of the most successful franchises. I feel we should be proud to be members and fans of CSK.” Bravo added.
In IPL 2020, Bravo has been an integral part of the CSK team; he has played six games and scored only seven runs in two innings. However, he got six wickets at an economy rate of 8.57. With only three wins from 10 matches, CSK are currently lying at the bottom of the league table.
Already with the absence of senior players like Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh, CSK was performing low and now with Bravo ruling out, fans are deeply hurt and pray for his recovery soon.
