With this big victory, the Juventus forward became the first European to reach 100 goals for Portugal after Ali Daei. Daei was the first, who scored 109 times for Iran. In total, he made 165 appearances to reach the milestone.
Looking at the record breaking chart, Ronaldo last scored in November 2019 for his country against Luxembourg and ended his long wait with a stunning free-kick from outside the box.
With 100 goals to his name, only 17 of them have come in international friendlies. So far, he has scored seven goals vs Lithuania, six vs Sweden, five vs Andorra, Armenia, Latvia, and Luxembourg.
Till date, Ronaldo has six international hat tricks; he has scored seven goals in the FIFA World Cup and another nine at the UEFA Euros in his career.
