But Kohli announced he will be playing and he doesn't opt out. Dhoni's retirement was mostly talked about, but he had decided to take a break for 2 months and serve his army regiment.
With Dhoni out, Pant will get a chance to improve his skills as a keeper, and the team might get a chance to find No.4 given there is both Pant and Iyer. Dhawan who was injured, is back in the game. Bumrah who played terrifically is rested.
