BCCI Releases Pic of World’s Largest Stadium to be Inaugurated by Trump; It’s Spectacular
Home > News Shots > Sports newsJust a while ago, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter and released a picture of the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium, which is set to be inaugurated by American President Donald Trump. It looks every bit spectacular; we must say! Notably, the Motera Stadium surpasses the Melbourne Cricket Ground in becoming the world’s largest cricket stadium.

Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will jointly hold a meeting being referred to as ‘Namaste Trump’ at the event. “It is a delight and Honour for the state as well as for the nation, as two of the biggest global leaders, US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sharing the same stage at the Motera stadium which we are eagerly awaiting,” Vijay Rupani, Gujarat Chief Minister was quoted as saying.
“All the arrangements regarding safety and security, parking, seating arrangements, food and water, the entry and exit Gates have been micro planned and everything is in order. The high officials of the state administration and the Gujarat Cricket Association office bearers are reviewing the entire preparations for the event,” said Rupani.
“It is a matter of pride for Gujarat as the US President will be flying here to Ahmedabad directly from Washington,” he added.
Security wise, more than 12,000 police officers are to be deployed at the stadium on the day of the event. It is being reported that authorities in Ahmedabad are spending about Rs 80-85 crore in order to prepare for Trump’s arrival along with First Lady Melania Trump. Trump is also expected to visit the humble abode of Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmedabad.
