Just a day before the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to social media and shared a picture of the pitch covered with grass. They captioned it saying, "A day out of the 1st Test, this is what the pitch at Basin Reserve looks like. Thoughts ? #NZvIND."
Minutes after BCCI posted the photo, fans expressed their opinion and came up with interesting replies. Many even suggested that India will struggle in the game.
