Mahmudullah and Mominul are New Captains for Bangladesh against India
Home > News Shots > Sports newsBangladesh is all set to tour India for T20 and Test series in the month of November. Earlier it was announced that Shakib Al Hasan will lead Bangladesh for the 3-match T20 series. Unfortunately, the turn of events shocked the Cricket fraternity as Shakib was banned for 2 years for breaching ICC's Anti-Corruption Code.
Ahead of the 3-match T20 series, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named Mahmudullah as the captain for the T20 team while Mominul Haque has been named as the captain for 2-match test series. The first T20 match starts on November 3 in New Delhi.
Shakib Al Hasan had a tough time with BCB in recent times which includes him leading the strike against the BCB apart from earning a black mark for not attending training sessions and meeting with senior players.
Undoubtedly Shakib's absence will have a significant impact for Bangladesh in the sub-continent nation. Reportedly, Taijul Islam, a left-arm spinner has been announced as the replacement for Shakib Al Hasan.
