3 Bangladesh Players, 2 Indian Team Cricketers Punished By ICC After World Cup Final
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDays after the clash on the field between Bangladesh players and Indian Team during the Under-19 World Cup final on Sunday; the International Cricket Council (ICC) have penalised three Bangladesh players and two Indian team cricketers.
During the match, Bangladesh claimed the victory via DLS method soon after which tensions spread on among the players. The players who have been found guilty are- Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain and Rakibul Hasan while Indian players are Akash Singh and Ravi Bishnoi.
They all were found guilty of a Level 3 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct. According to NDTV reports, Hridoy, Hossain and Singh have been given 6 demerit points, while Rakibul and Bishnoi are given five for the post-match incidents.
Talking about the clash on the field; soon after the match two teams were seen engaged in an exchange of words. Few players were caught pushing and shoving each other on the field that left a Bangladeshi flag damaged in the process.
Highlighting about the match, Bangladesh made a target of 170 to win from 46 overs, while Team India were bowled out for 177. Watch the ruckus video below:
