The popular Game show hosted by film star Amitabh Bachchan, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) introduced a special format for children in the year 2001. A 14-year-old boy, Ravi Mohan Saini answered all the questions and won the top prize of Rs 1 Crore back in the day. It’s been almost two decades and now, he is an IPS officer.

On Tuesday, Saini (33-year-old at present) took charge as the Superintendent of Police, Porbandar. 

“After my schooling, I did my MBBS from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in Jaipur. I was doing my internship after MBBS when I cleared UPSC. My father was in the navy and I joined the police force after being inspired by him,” he told the Indian Express.

As per media reports, he qualified for the Indian Police Services in the year 2014 and secured an All- India rank of 461. 

While speaking about his new role he told, “My role would be the implementation of lockdown in Porbandar in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, the law and order situation remains our topmost priority.”

Meanwhile, the popular game show is expected to be back with a new season. The registration already started earlier this month and Amitabh Bachchan will be back as the host. 

The whole screening and selection process for the show has been made entirely digital this year in view of the on-going coronavirus outbreak.
