“I’m a Proud Tamilian,” Mithali Raj Responds to Woman who Criticizes Her!

A Twitter user named Sugu, in a tweet, described Mithali as someone who doesn't know Tamil. "She doesn't know Tamil. She will speak in eng, Telugu, Hindi," the tweet read.
In response, Mithali said that she knows and can speak in Tamil fluently. In spite of feeling proud for being a Tamilian, Mithali said she is a proud Indian above all.
"தமிழ் என் தாய் மொழி..நான் தமிழ் நன்றாக பேசுவேன்..தமிழனாய் வாழ்வது எனக்கு பெருமை.. but above it all I am very proud indian ! Also my dear sugu ,your constant criticism on each and every post of mine ,your day to day advice on how and what should I do is exactly what keeps me going."
It didn't end there. Mithali also dedicated Taylor Swift's famous song "You Need to Calm Down," to Sugu adding that it's a very famous song by a strong independent woman she admires a lot.
